Honey Graham porter Spent Grain Pie Crust

This recipe is perfect for a chocolate pudding pie. Or fill it with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, a layer of peanut butter and whipped cream for a frozen pie. Either way your left with an open bag of Brewer’s Crackers and a beer!

Yield: 1 pie shell


1/2 Bag Honey Graham Porter Brewer’s Crackers
3/4 Stick of Unsalted Butter cut into small cubes
1/2 Teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons Ice cold beer
1 cup Whole Wheat flour

In a food Processor crush crackers until pulverized into a meal. Add flour, salt, butter, pulse till butter is pea sized. Add beer slowly and pulse till dough forms. Remove from processor and wrap in plastic for at least 3 hours or overnight. Remove dough from fridge. On a floured surface roll into a 1\4 inch thin circle. Lie into pie dish and poke crust with fork, bake @ 400° with pie weights for 15 minutes. Remove pie weights and continue to bake for 10 more minutes. Let pie crust completely cool. Add your favorite fillings and enjoy.
